I like this old roof construction - it's the Market Hall in Chipping Campden, built in 1627:

Looks like a renovation with some greatold beam-work, also like the tiling that you can see. An old English roof.
Such old structures are a God-send for photographers - NICE!
Re your comment: I thought lead-based paint had been prohibited very many years ago. It is dangerous!

Wonderful .. all those old timbers .. they dont build stuff like this any more .. I took a photo of a similarly constructed building/roof in Virginia not long ago ..
Black and white photographs are the ones which last most in my mind and, until today, I hadn't come across the monochrome posts. I'm so pleased!
