old roof

I like this old roof construction - it's the Market Hall in Chipping Campden, built in 1627:

I like seeing the beams in roofs - I'm sure the swallows, owls and bats like them too.

Actually, that whole village looks like a pretty amazing place to visit..

Looks like a renovation with some greatold beam-work, also like the tiling that you can see. An old English roof.

Re your comment: I thought lead-based paint had been prohibited very many years ago. It is dangerous!

Wonderful .. all those old timbers .. they dont build stuff like this any more .. I took a photo of a similarly constructed building/roof in Virginia not long ago ..
