This weeks PhotoHunt theme is 'ripples'. The ripples I see most often - apart from watery ones - are those of my neighbours very old asbestos roofing. I'm not looking forward to the day when they have to be disturbed:
Asbestos roofing?! I have never heard of it, and here I thought I'd heard of it all! Must be quite rare? Many houses in New York State have that ugly asbestos siding. :-p Why did they ever make that junk?
Well, I didn't think there was anything yucky about this roof. The moss growing in the ripples made a very interesting texture. I am glad that I am not responsible for removing that roof, though! Great ripples, and a very different take on the theme.
I started my working life as a film maker. Then I began to feel useless and became a scientist instead. I love my new job but I can't give up cameras completely. Now I have accumulated so many photos that they're quite squashed in their digital box - so please click on them for instant liberation. If you want to know what cameras I use you have to click to see the complete profile.

ooh. He would not be able to sell that house here in the States. He would have to have it removed before hand. It does look very ripply though.
Yuk! Great shot of it though :-)

very creative picture of ripples. I think I'd feel just like you about the day when that has to come down.
And well caked in mosses too! A very interesting effect.
Scary ripples! And I do understand you are worried. But it made a great shot though!
Thanks for nice visitis while I was away. I have been in Sweeden, so the last shots from the corn field was from Sweeden.

Looks great, but run away and take a long vacation when they take those apart - danger!
oh my, what are those?
we don't use asbestos as roofing here in the philippines so..
It might be ugly and dangerous but makes a great subject for ripples.
I love your hay-making photos too.
