old roof
I like this old roof construction - it's the Market Hall in Chipping Campden, built in 1627:

Lovely b&wh patterns and contrasts.
agree with Dagrun, lovely place for a b&w picture.
Perfect subject in excellent lighting.
I like seeing the beams in roofs - I'm sure the swallows, owls and bats like them too.
Actually, that whole village looks like a pretty amazing place to visit..
Looks like a renovation with some greatold beam-work, also like the tiling that you can see. An old English roof.
Such old structures are a God-send for photographers - NICE!
Re your comment: I thought lead-based paint had been prohibited very many years ago. It is dangerous!
Old and wise :-))
amazing . built in 1627 and still so well preserved
Great shot with interesting pattern and structure! Old buildings have so much to tell, if you see it!
Excellent photo - great detail, contrast and lighting. Well done!
Great patterns. This is a really nice shot!
I like the angle you shot the roof from so much.
This is perfect for a B&W shot!
Lovely. Great angles.
I am doing the Saturday photohunter rounds and I'm finding all these Monochromes! Will I ever catch up?!
Gorgeous patterns and structures!
Excellent photo!
I like it too, lovely structure for monochrome.
This shot is just perfect! There is a lot of history in that roof!
This is my first time on monochrome weekly .

I like all the lines in this photo. Very nice in B&W!
A wonderfully tangled shot of angles, shadows, and light. Fantastic!
Nice picture. the b/w emphasizes the geometric patterns of the structure.
Wonderful .. all those old timbers .. they dont build stuff like this any more .. I took a photo of a similarly constructed building/roof in Virginia not long ago ..
Black and white photographs are the ones which last most in my mind and, until today, I hadn't come across the monochrome posts. I'm so pleased!
Great one!
