These two photos are only a month and a bit apart and mark the sad progression of summer towards autumn. Time seems to fly, especially with my fieldwork going on and on.
Hope September will not be cold and rainy.

Beautiful macros Bim. I'm with you in your wistfulness, I wish summer could last all year long.
I'm an autumn person. Can hardly wait to get there. Every sign is a pleasure.
We still have hover flies and flowers though. The blackberries look like a bumper crop in the hedgerows but still taste disgusting. I'll have to admit we need a lot more sun if they are to ripen in time to be of any use.
I hope so too!! Love this, and your other pictures on this blog,I never thought dirty dishes could look pretty!
So much color. I especially delight in the textures, hues, depth and composition of the shot on the right.
Great shots. Wish I could make time stand still or at least the season of summer to go on and on and on.

Amazing images...it doesn't feel as if we've had much in the way of summer here in Cornwall. The blackberries were luscious though even through the rain.
Those berries will be ready soon for jam! Yum!
