Another ubiquitous little plant that I like. Often referred to as 'that weed over there' most people seem to have forgotten that its common name is 'Green Alkanet'. The little blue flowers are a huge success with the bumble bees, and
can apparently be used to garnish salads and drinks...
Towards midsummer the plants grow too high for their own good:
The one above has collapsed under the heavy weight of some summery rain drops.

That's a beautiful flower. I love the little flowers on tall stalks but they do tend to get knocked down.
There is still much beauty in this shot!
I love the reflection of the fallen stalk in the puddle.
I am not so sure that you can eat this one...Gurkört (Borago officinalis) that you can eat!
Thank you for stopping by my blog and look at Stjärnflocka, if you ever come to sweden I will give you a plant to take back home.
Wild pigs it is only a few year ago, we started seriously to have them wild in Sweden.
I was gooling the name in Swedish, Hästtunga, but did not found that you can eat it.

Island Rambles said it before me: I love the mood in the shot! And wild flowers are often forgotten and considered as weed - they still have a purpose and are as beautiful as the garden flowers! A beautiful shot telling a story.
Have a great week Bim!
Interesting that you can use it on salad, wonder what will it tast like. Thanks for sharing, this is a beautiful shot with the reflection from the rain water.
i love the real blue
I like wild flowers - they have just the right amount of flashiness :)
Oh so perfectly captured, love the rarity of this shot...great as always.
Love the fallen shot! And lets not ignore the beauty of the wild flowers.
I like it! I have recently begun to reexamine my definition of 'weed'--now, it's anything I don't want growing where it has sprung up!
They are new to me, they are beautiful!! and what a lovely composition.

Lovely indeed.
Beautiful shot in spite of its demise...the leaves look like mint leaves.
I've always liked the look of this plant, but didn't know it's name until now! Thanks.
I like the subtle colours in the reflection - it almost looks as if it is leaning over to look in the mirror!
