Another week and then my current stretch of fieldwork will be over. I'm looking forward to it - I haven't had a proper weekend for a while, but many long days instead - and I'm feeling whacked. Last week was exceedingly cold, rainy and/or windy...not good when you have to handle sterile little sampling bags. There were several moments when I had to wade hastily (a contradiction in terms!) after my already bagged samples which, encouraged by the strong breeze, had started to float towards the sea. The sky often just offered cloud layer after cloud layer:

I have a feeling I have seen something like this from time to time a bit closer to home. Maybe they move across the North Sea?
Wow those clouds are almost hypnotic, I love this pic.
Have a fantastic weekend

There is something nice, though, about being able to see through the clouds like that. I've just finished 9 days of field work - and it was sunny all the time!
Very nice sky here, well done!!
The skies over my head look a lot like this right now. They are beautiful in their own way, I think.
With that sacrifice, you also offer us dramatic layers of pictures one after the other, memes after memes. I'll still keep skywatching your sky from the north.

Just this week we have sun the clock round and you have my usual stormy weather. It is much better for me to view that have.
I believe those clouds are all over Northern Europe - they are over Oslo now!
Your comment on my blog made me really laugh! If you had seen som of your little chaps in my shots....well, I have heard about raining frogs! :)
Oh, it's been pretty rainy here in New Jersey! I haven't posted a Sky Watch in a while. Not exactly inspirational, gray. But my garden is happy as a petunia.
Rainy day! I like those - don't have to run in the park with the kids - just stayng home - nice! Its been raining a lot comparing with last year here. I like your sky - it says - read a nice book instead:)
Those clouds look totally beautiful - but would probably be tedious for you to be looking at continuously during field work! Enjoy your weekend!
Looks like its going to burst! I don't know why, but its almost summer here, and we have the same gloomy weather here in SoCal.
Love rain clouds... dark and cool...
Calling weather good or bad is very relative to what your needs are. To me, your weather would be a dream, we can still use lots and lots of that. The other kind is great for tourists.
When the summer's late the winter is usually late too. Here, in Oz, it's only 12 degrees today!
Beautiful sky !!!
Love those big puffy clouds, with the layers of sun lit clouds above...
Great shot..
