There is probably no spot in the UK which is further from the sea than where I live. Summer life happens very much in the garden. I love watching my insect neighbours, such as this assiduous looking bumble bee:
Visit Robin's

Wow, excellent! Is this a digital image, or an actual photograph?
Amazing clarity - and beautifully composed to boot! Would that it were as easy as you make it look Bim.
Thanks for your response to my comment over at my place! I figured it was digital, but I can appreciate the skill that went into capturing it the way you did - glad somebody understands my sentiments about it though, even if using it as medium has become unavoidable 'in this day and age'. They can pry my old Nikormat from my cold, dead hands!
Oh, how wonderful! I can never capture the movement like that ... I'm so jealous of your skill. What a beautiful shot!
What a wonderful 'still life' with so much activity going on!
Beautiful image - and great catch! A bumble bee in flight is not the easiest to catch on a photo! But I am wondering: What is it carrying?
Oh goodness! No, not me! Those little suckers like ME even better than they like flowers! But I don't return the love! That is a FABULOUS shot though! Even the little wings in motion!
Lovely
The bee looks like the one in the kid's books that carry a bucket of honey :) Perfect shot for a buzzy summer!
you caught him in flight! wonderful!!
Wow! Awesome shot!!! The detail is amazing. I'm so bad with my digital camera. I really need to learn how to use it better. I hope you weren't close enough to be in stinging danger ;)
Excellent!
Love the way you caught the bee and I'm with Robin on the clarity - super.
Wow, Bim! You caught that bee in flight! Great capture! :)
Busy buzzy bee hard at work in the pollination department. Nice photo.
Great shot! I haven't had much luck capturing these little fellas in flight.
