I often go dancing on the continent - or, to be more precise, in a small town near the German border in Holland. I drive - and the motorway takes me through Flanders. I still find it hard to comprehend how anything can be as flat. I find the flatness difficult, but driving back from a lovely weekend of tangoing I often also find it peaceful and somewhat charming:

Oddly it reminds me of my square-bashing days... October/November.
Oh my, beautiful. The fog makes it so mysterious.
Fog is always a good subject
That is a very peaceful and beautiful scene.
Loved the naked trees!! The whole feeling in this picture. Really nice shot.
Beautiful atmospheric picture!
The fog lends a great otherworldly feel to the scene.
LoL..
My computer screen stands right to my TV, so I'm pretty much "multi-tasking" most of the time, throwing glances once in a while towards my TV set.
At this moment, I'm watching "Sleepy Hollow" movie and your photo is just as if it was taken from that movie !
Fog adds a kind of mystic power, don't you think...lovely.
It's beautiful ... but I would miss hills too.
I meant to say: you dance?
Stunning fog shot. Love the little birds in the corner.
wow!! very nice picture!
Oh, that is just breathtaking.
I have a friend who is from England (Birmingham) and has been in Australia 2 years now. She seems to have an aversion to flat countryside as well. She tells me that England is quite hilly.
Thanks for visiting my blog by the way!
This a amazing capture. Love it. Smiles B
Guess you've never been to Kansas, then! That's why I enjoy the NZ beaches and mountains so much.
Lovely, foggy, and serene.
I just wanted to thank you so much for your comments on my blog (I've already commented on this beautiful picture, but I had to run in here and say thank you anyway;). I now check the original photo of my dandelion, and there was no shadow... so I actually do not know what I've done. Thank you, anyway.
This is nice. I've always like the way mist, haze and fog makes things look so different. I just don't like being in it. :-)
The fog really sets the mood!
