Summer

Today we celebrated the third warm day of the year - hooray!

Time therefore to change into summer clothes and get out those summery feelings. A vital accessory for that in England is the beach hut which provides the obligatory privacy for such business:

Visit Scenic Sunday for more scenery treats, or Robin's Summer Stock Sunday if you're after some beach fun. Or both :)

First of all, your header absolutely made my heart leap with the beauty of it. And I love your description of yourself in your sidebar. I went to film school but now I'm writing. And that's not even my day job.

I really like your shot of the beach hut. I like the blue & white & neutral colours.

Fancy rubbing salt in the wound! Today is the first day of the Australian Winter!!!!

I love the shot. Can I write a poem about it some time?

Is the tractor still running? Looks like it has been there for a while!

I love those sassy stripes. British beachhouses are so whimsical looking, they're great. Gorgeous blue sky you got too, what a treat - and perfect for Summer Stock too. (How did you manage to arrange the weather to suit? That's a great trick.)

These adorable and brightly painted little beach huts have gone by the wayside here, but I have a blogging friend in Australia that often shows photos of them on her blog.

Beautiful photo. Few colors but a lovely evocation of summer.

This reminds me of some of the old movies that I've seen. We don't have anything like that over here. It's mostly just ugly building that don't smell very good.

I've never heard of a "beach hut." I'm afraid that as hot as it is here, we would "cook" if we went into one of those to change clothes. I guess that's why folks just skinny dip.
I love your photo; look at all the shades of blue!

This hut makes med remember old photos of my grandparents on some beach - somewhere! We don't have those huts in Norway - we are all struggling to hide behind our towels! Fun photo!

The blue of the stripes blends with the blue of the ocean. Nice!
