Seaside

A warm May bank holiday some years ago in Aldeburgh. I don't remember what these two were looking at, but for me the image embodies a particular type of English seaside holiday...and makes me yearn for fish and chips:

Aldeburgh - the home of the Benjamin Britten/Peter
Pears festival ? Looks a wee bit scruffy just there.

Chips followed by ice cream and fighting off a seagull. Nostalgic image.

An evocative shot of times gone by - no mobile phone to call anyone so they just have to watch and wait and then employ Shanks' Pony for transport.

One of the those warm, hazy days. And there's grass and weeds at the top of the beach. I know the sort place. I think an MR James ghost story was set in Aldeburgh - so maybe the couple have just seen *something* :)

Oh yes, very reminiscent of old films and bank holidays.
