Preparations
As H1N1 (the current Swine Flu variant) starts it's journey through the UK we're hectically trying to get ready in time to measure its effect on sewage effluents and rivers:

It looks like science to me. Anyone else standing in water that deep would have on swimming trunks. :-D

Yeah..... well it has to be done. Our waterways are not too bad these days, are they?

I'm not sure too what's going on, but I think science really starts from scratch...and this is it. Nice WW post.
Well - science or not - you are getting wet, and this is Watery Wednesday! What are you/that guy doing! Like others here I don't understand - but I am so glad some people do a lot of strange things to prevent others to get sick! Or maybe it is about the fish? That is good to! :)
Very interesting post. Information will always guide us along to the story of the picture and that is what photography is all about. It's poetry in pictures.
Interesting, and -whether we like it or not - appropriate for the times. So what will you look for in the effluents? Viral isolates or something else?

Not sure what the guy measures for. Can swine flu get in the water? I guess it can and that really would cause havoc if it entered the drinking water. Planning ahead for any eventuality cannot be but a good thing. It's science allright.
