foul weather

The weather has been terrible...and I've had plenty numb toes the last couple of days from standing around in the river, collecting samples and generally making sure all was working.

The sheep up on the hill above the river have their own way of warming each other up:

but I really quite need the sun to come out once in a while. Early yesterday evening, it did just that, and everything felt much better:

This morning all was back to evil showers, though.

Beautiful shots. It's been in the 90's here. Don't know where our spring went. Wouldn't mind trading weather with you once in a while.

I love your sunny evening scene. Hope the showers blow away soon.

Glorious photographs - they capture the essence of May in England.
By the way, damp dog smell takes a few decades to get used to and we've been practising hard . . .

It's like swimming in the sea when it rains - at least you can't get much wetter! And what is it they say, "a wet day in a river is better than a day in the office"!
