You asked if the frame in mine was stone and I'm not sure. It's the entrance to a courtyard between buildings and looks like granite but I'm really not sure what the material is.
I've just been catching up as I've had a busy week and no time to visit blogs - love the picture inside the flumes! I was talking with a scientist friend yesterday who'd just been to a conference where she heard some really interesting talks about algae and their growth cycles and free radicals. I know nothing about this and was fascinated.
What a spectacular photo! I love it, and your whole blog. I've added you to my blogroll, as I am more than happy to steer any readers to your site. Thanks for a wonderful photo experience.
I started my working life as a film maker. Then I began to feel useless and became a scientist instead. I love my new job but I can't give up cameras completely. Now I have accumulated so many photos that they're quite squashed in their digital box - so please click on them for instant liberation. If you want to know what cameras I use you have to click to see the complete profile.

You can put up with the rain if it leads to skies like this. Very dramatic clouds.
