Clear lake
This is Clear Lake - the largest natural lake in California. So they say. It looks pretty but is far from clear and quite polluted by mercury deposits from the old mercury mines close by.

It is quite a beautiful shot but so sad it has been ruined so that it can't be enjoyed.
There does seem to be an air of desolation about your mono. A good image.
